Engaging the client in the journey of design is the key to our success in creating meaningful and enduring environments.
Engagement means full collaboration from the earliest stages of the process by all of the participants; a group that we call the project team - the designers, the clients, the builders. Like any journey, it is not a straight line, but a sometimes arduous path with ups and downs and all manner of obstacles to overcome. However, with all members sharing the common goal and recognizing the need for input from all participants, a design emerges over the course of the journey, and
the place for people to live and work productively is created.
At RND, we do not design with one particular type or style. We believe good design is a collaborative experience where we receive constructive feedback from all members throughout the design process. That's when the useful decisions are made. A successful process is not about having the most ingenious idea, it's about managing, editing, and refining many ideas for the greatest solution.
